The "We received our chicks the week of 2/17, give or take" Club

So. I found out that with these babies you can cause serious mayhem by bringing in a treat of scrambled eggs. Wow, they went crazy! I have given it to them 2 times now and they just LOVED it!!! A nice scrambled egg that is pressed through a fork so all the pieces are tiny bite size for the chicks. It seems to be a good way to see who is more vigorous too. The ones that are really vigorous have nice full crops when the craziness is over. The ones that I have been keeping an eye on have "sampled" the egg and have food in their crop. But its not FULL. If that makes sense.

I have been pleased so far with the grown and weight on the CX, the regular Cornish and the White Plymouth Rocks. They are all doing REALLY well so far.

My little chicks run that my hubby and daughter made for me. Just about done painting it and then it will fit up against this that he built for me.

That little door you see will open and latch.

This stall will be transformed into a chicken coop for my juveniles once they can leave the brooder. Woo hoo!!!!!

Here's the coffin, ahem, I mean brooder that my hubby built for my little guys.

My young ones at 11 days old.
