The weirdest thing you have seen on the highway.

Are you sure it was a dude?

Yep, unless it was some lady with a long white beard

we went down to Dallas to visit my mom back in feb. Instead of taking the same route home we decided to go different and while going through missouri I saw signs on the highway that said No stopping to pick the marijuana.

Sheesh, why would anybody do that?

My dad has lots of those stories too. Once while waiting during the night in line for the place to open in the morning someone came up to the truck in front of him and started stealing the straps off the trailer. This happened often so he took Polariod pictures of the guy, showed it to the driver in the morning and when the guy was dumb enough to come back and try to sell them.....he got a welcome wagon.

Then their was the crazy "lady" banging on the door.......thats another story

when we were in New Mexico visiting Jason before he shipped out for Iraq there were signs that read..........

"Do not pick up hitchickers----prison facility ahead"......
I had to laugh at that one......

oh yeah the lot lizards...could tell stories apon stories of those, as Jason used to be an over the road truck driver (he did both owner operator and company driver)....lol

I really would have to say though the funniest town I went through (all because of the name of the town on the sign )

"Elephant Butte New Mexico" (my kids wanna know what the school mascott is lol)

I didn't see this my FIL did. An adult male lion riding in the back of a Sheriff's vehicle in Kentucky. It was not in a cage it was lying on the back seat.

Seems it belonged to a drug dealer who had it since it was a cub ( lion was very old by this time ). He said the best part was when the deputy pulled up beside a school bus. The kids in the bus were doing a double take!

Now how many kids went home that day and said "Mom I saw a lion in a deputy's car and their Mom actually believed them???"

I've seen some pretty gory things on the side/in the middle of the road.
The biggest animal I have ever seen (dead) on the side of the road would be a cow.

I've also seen a bag of inards randomly spewed all in the middle of a country road. It was a humid day in July, so that stuck up the car.

The funniest thing I've seen was probably the big, wild, male turkey with an arrow sticking out of its butt in the forest off of a busy road. Me and my parents tried to stop and perhaps catch it and try the to pull the arrow out, but it was long gone with its family by the time we pulled over to look.

I have seen quite a few weird things...
But the strangest was, while hauling a load through Utah, less traveled highway.

the blackest, hugest darn wolf I had EVER seen trotting down the side of the road.
At least thats what I THINK it was and I got a good look! It was no dog or even hybrid, thats for sure.
It didnt even look at the truck, just kept going....

It was back in germany. We drove along a county road and all sudden we saw a camel on the road side. Turns out there was a circus near by and the camel escapedi also saw a "artist" that lived in a tippee on the road side on his proberty... Back in Florida i drove down OBT(Orange Blossom trail) in Leesburg and all sudden there was a little red ultra light airplane that landed in the middle of the road.
In Ky i saw SAnta CLause riding on a HD motorcycle in mid summer.
Does a amish buggy parked at the Elizabethtown/Ky Walmart count?
