No eggs are pipping, cheeping, anything. Ah shucks.

Got only 3 hatched from the recent eggs and one has a white down chest so it's a cute CULL. The last one I had to help (was shrinkwrapped and I HAD NOT opened the bator that entire time, but could see through the window its problem with a dime sized pip hole. It is out and fluffed and doing ok. Suspecting more white chest/belly DOWN.

What exactly is the correct down color for a day old chick? Is it a lt brown/gold color? Or are variations ok?

Cheers all. It's a real struggle getting the internet to work today, keeps 'cannot connecting'.

So I'm off to the farm to let the alpacas out to pasture!

Sheila I really like her body structure but she is bit too light in the chest. Should be of a brown salmon color. Her legs are too pale, almost white...is it the camera flash?

On the legs yeah its the flash. Her chest is really orange. Every picture I have seen of Welsummers they are more brown. I was told show quality eggs but you know how that goes. Not all hatch are quality, but thats ok I just want her for the eggs. Heres hoping her eggs are dark.

Now help me think of a good name for her.
