beautiful hen! is that your coop there I love the stone building! yeah my girl was flying in trees and where ever she wanted but I had to clip her wings because she was going into other peoples yards LOL she's young though it will grow back.

Not the best pic but this is my 21wk old W Roo. He has to hens of the same breed and a slew of other breeds to contend with. He is a gift for my sweet hubby who has been patient and helpful with "my project". This roo was all he asked for so I gave in. Maybe this breed knows that some of them are headed for the stew pot once they stop laying so take their sweet time...I would.

Thanks. nope, not yet. I thought she would be my first egg because her comb got red early but then it stopped growing and my BSL ended up being first. Then she squatted once so I thought she'd be second but my little runty RIR decided to take that spot. The welsummer hasn't squatted since. I haven't seen her in a nest box either. She's always been very loud so it's hard to tell if she's practicing an egg song or just being her usual squawky self. Hopefully she'll start soon.
