Yeah without a doubt the camera never captures the correct color. I've even tried to use the wife's high dollar DSLR camera with not much difference than my little iPhone camera. They just look better in person.is it me or do eggs look darker in person than on camera?
Those are nice Marans eggs. I also breed Marans. Mine are looking pretty good. I've got 35 Marans eggs in the incubator now. Hopping to double my layer flock. I just joined the MCCUSA and got my egg chart from them. I actually had some darker eggs than I had thought. The charts are helpful in determining exactly where you are and where you want to be!!i have done all the things you mentioned and my roo will NOT back down! i still love my wellies very much and have not lost interest in the breed! but here in notasulga alabama they are only available from hatcheries! i can however get black copper marans. I will probably get more of those this spring.i love the two i have!this is what my marans lay...they are my favorite eggs!![]()
