The Welsummer Thread!!!!

Here's a sampling of my Wilma's eggs from the past week or so...they don't really match up with any of the samples from Michael's flock on the card, but they sure look nice in my basket.

PRETTY!
Cant wait for mine. They just turned 22 weeks old.
No sign of eggs, but I noticed the hens combs and waddles got bigger in the last couple weeks.

those are beuatiful birds..how much do those girls weigh..if you dont mind me asking..momma always told me its not nice to ask about a ladys weight..lol

They kind of vary, but generally the bantams hang right around 30oz. Since I show them I know that it's hard for judges to understand, that they are the largest of the bantams. Even if you pick them up you realize they are allot more fluff then they look.

Reba and Loretta, my two 23 week old wellies :)

This is my Welsummer , Little Bit. She is finally starting to get bigger. She was little for so long I thought she might be a bantam even though the person I bought her from assured me she wasn't. She is 35 weeks old and went into the nest today checking it out. She definitely is overdue!
