He's 21 weeks old and looking good, but he is starting to show aggression to me.
I have a couple Wyandotte Roo's, when they started attacking my feet I just booted them a couple times and now they are fine. But this Wellie Roo dont backdown.
He's like kool lets get it on....
He's to guick for me to try to catch and carry around. Are Wellis roos normally that scappy????

What a gorgeous roo!!

I haven't had a wellie roo long enough for him to get aggressive with all those hormones, but personally I believe aggression is very much dependant on the individual rooster... yes breed might play a part in it too, but I really do feel that individual personality is a big part of it.

My young rooster has had a few goes at me recently but he's calmed down now. I'd suggest you make some kind of net on a stick... thats how I catch flighty birds during the day If i have to. That is how I catch my rooster during the day, then I just carry him around under my arm.

Thank you, you can kind of see the one rooster in background, hes 5 years old, and other is featherless. Cockerals are ugly still :D

Welsummer roosters take a long time to fill in and look good, in fact one picture you can see two cockerals behind the girl

I've never had an aggressive welsummer male. I understand that hatchery wellies can have aggressive issues, but I have not had hatchery wellies.
