I am very Interested in this breed. I'm debating between Welsummers, Wyandotte, and New Hampshire red!!! Help!!!

I have Welsummers and New Hampshires and the Welsummers win - hands down!
If I could only have 1 breed of chickens (wow, hope that never happens), it would be Welsummers. Cream Legbars have moved into second place, but will probably never get to 1st.

What's wrong with NHR?

I have the German strain, maybe hatchery ones would lay earlier and better, but they are basically just orange RIR's from many hatcheries. I like the look of the Welsummers better and they are lighter birds that I believe would be better at free ranging. The beautiful eggs are the clincher though, and the ability to sex the chicks, my NH roos have small combs and it took months to sex them.

Are your Welsummers friendly? Can they fly?

Of course everyone will recommend his or her favorite breed, but the wellsumers, IMHO have the most going for them., First, they should be sexable at hatching. The girls wear eyeliner while the boys may have broken lighter lines or none at all.
Not only can the welsumer be sexed, but I have found that I can sex the olive eggers I have made using a cream legbar rooster with a wellie mother (Something I can't do with the marans olive eggers.)
Then there is the egg color, a beautiful dark terra cotta, often with speckles.
And if that isn't enough, they can be mated to birds carrying the blue egg gene to make olive eggers.
In addition, they're curious, birds with nice personalities and fit well into a mixed flock. I wouldn't mind having more of them.
