Granny's gone and done it again

Do they know why?
He had been out shoveling snow for a long time, went inside and drank 2 glasses of cold water. Then went to the garage to get salt to spread. He lay down in the garage( which has a very cold floor) and passed out. His wife didn't find him right away, but she called EMS immediately and they started treating him right away.
I am very happy he is doing so much better!

I have a Bielefelder rooster that I hand raised because he had splayed legs as a chick. His name is Rufus and he follows me around when I'm doing chores. If any of the other roosters get too close he makes them back off.
The first time we had chickens we had a Rhode Island Red rooster and several hens. The rooster attacked me every time I went in the run. The last time he did it I hit him under his beak with an empty gallon size can, flipped him over on his back hard enough it knocked the wind out of him! He never attacked me again.
You the boss. :)
When us kids were visiting my Grandmother we loved collecting chicken eggs. One problem. The big red Rooster. Grandma explained how to sneak into the hen house. We were always very careful to make sure he was far out in the run, sneak in, then hurry and shut the door to the run. We were pretty successful, until one day. My sister had gone out to collect the eggs. Summer time. Shorts. Not sure how it happened, but she came in crying with very bloody legs. My grandmother's husband, we didn't call him grandpa, was so mad at that rooster That was the final straw. He had many an encounter with him, only he would shove him out of the way.
Well, as a kid, this part certainly was no fun. He decided to put that Rooster down, in front of me, with an ax. That was a site to behold. :( Next thing I knew, that Rooster was sitting on the dinner table. My young Aunt wouldn't eat any bit of him. She had picked him out of a Woolwoorth's windows as one of the many colored chicks. :( I ate some. My grandma knew how to cook chicken. 😛

Going to wish you all a good night. I'm headed to bed. See you tomorrow.
How is Larry doing? Is he doing ok backing off of meds? Ill be glad when he can be pain free of that pain. I remember that.
Now I'm really worried about my right hip now.. Started hurting pretty bad this past week. Did you say Larry got shots for his bad hips?
Tell him we're thinking/praying for him, and you!

Mine was a turkey. Visited my SF brother. I hated that place anyway. It had a very long terrifying swinging bridge and that was the only access to his ol farm. Just followed the adults to the front porch where they sat drinking their tea. Walked into the yard and this HUGE white Tom came after me. I was running and screaming for help while the adults sat on the porch laughing their butts off. I was frightened of turkeys my whole life til I bought a baby white Tom a few years back to face my fear and we became the best of friends.
