I had found some birds that I really like from Johan van Achterberg http://www.ctbiofarmer.com/barnevelder.php Although he only sells eggs and are quite expensive, they are some fantastic looking birds! I'll PM JamesA about his as well though. If I'm going down to GA I may as well get my gas worth

Not the best photo in the world because these two little sweeties are too busy trying to get all the scratch but these are 2 of the birds that I kept from the hatch of eggs that I purchased from KummerPoultryFarm (Erhard Weihs) Erhard is a fantastically sweet man and a pleasure to work with. Just thought that I would show the girls off, they just turned 3 mos. old. I will try to get a better photo of them later today and repost.

Yep Erhard is a very nice gentleman! It was a real pleasure in working with him! He packed his eggs very well too!

I'm contacting Mr. Weihs about his birds, they are lovely as well. Not to mention my fiance' is going to have a heart attack when I let him know he has Russian Orloffs, he loves them! PinkChick, Erhard has some lovely Barnevelders, but I just can't get Johan's birds out of my head, they are completely drool worthy

Do you think your friend would be interested in selling a couple of chicks just by a little tiny chance? That way I could get some Barnie eggs from Erhard and raise them both up and get a bit more selection to stare at

My 3 little pigs...erm...Welsummers. Now to make sure DH gets a coop done for them before they need it...

I will get more pictures as they grow; now the wait begins; how old will they be before I see eggs?
