Dear Louie's Crewmaster, Yes it is hot just about everywhere and plenty hot where I live just south of Death Valley. It was 108.4 day before and we have registered 113 so far this summer with a humidity level about 11, 8 or a high of 26 this morning. Think of us and maybe it will help you cope.

BTW you chicken set looks pretty fancy and expensive !

Thankfully I was able to download pics! It was a mind wrecking fighting the laptop vs main computer to download. Hopefully it stays good!

Here are Nate's chicks as of today.....with the adoptive Black Orp bantam momma. She is very very good with her babies! Her and her babies have the complete run of the garden and catching bugs in the garden. Crickets were pretty bad this time of the year and I would let them out before six am, and they were out of the dog crate like TBs shot out of the starting gate! It was pretty funny watching the babies and momma scattered all over the garden, catching any and every bugs except for slugs.

Not all of the chicks are in the picture but gives you an idea what Nate produces.

Thanks! We went to the ocean in Northern CA. It was really nice to be cold. Took a hike through the redwood forest too. We saw the tallest redwood trees in the world.

she proved her worth in salt last year when I had some Spitz chicks with her, she took them all in for the first time. I took a big risk in doing so but now I can be assured she proved her place as a mother of any chicks. She is only three years old and from Superior Farm bloodlines with Don Chandler waaay in the background.
