Depending on how much you want to hatch out your own chicks and how much work you want to put into it, there are usually ways to work it out. Find a good rooster and keep him out of town at a fellow chicken raiser, if you neighbors don't mind bring him in during the daytime for a day now and then. Better yet, take your hens out to him for a few days every week or two during the time you want the fertile eggs. Also I'm sure there are other ideas out there.
