Opa, that's because AARP sold their mailing lists to them to make more money off of us!!!
In Chicago, there is a place that will turn your cremated ashed into a DIAMOND!! I'd like to do that for my husband and wear him on my finger. He's afraid he would get 'stolen'! I'm thinking they could even laser mark it 'remains of ....." for id purposes. Don't think the thieves would care?
His other idea is to spread a table spoon of his ashes here and there, as vets, we are supposed to have free burial according to our contracts with the government we signed on enlisting. Now the cemetary says that the grave is free, if we want anything other than a tiny cement marker, we pay extra, and there is a $1500.00 fee we have to pay out of pocket, ' to open the grave'. Doesn't sound like the contract I signed. Back then, free was free.
Just keep getting up out of bed every day and working that body. When you stop, it stops. Then instead of skipping one work day in between, you're up to two work days lost. Me, I work hard a day then have to rest the next day. I find myself wondering why I'm not out there working on my projects. Then I move and it all hurts. I'm too young to hurt like this. I haven't even accepted that AARP invite yet, even though it's been about 5 years..
