ChikieLyn,

I'm just getting into Wellies myself more or less. I had some birds that came from a hatchery and wanted breeder quality. So, I got rid of the hatchery stock and now have chicks that are Grisham/Hall that I got from Randy Bevins and a few from Erhard Weighs

They are still very young but if you ever get over this way young welcome to stop by and see my birds.

I'd love to! We used to go thru Winters all the time on our way to Grants Pass, but haven't been up for a couple of years. I think a road trip is in order! I'm going to list you on my "buddies" page, and when we have a free weekend I'll send you an email and we'll see if we can get together - thank you for the invite. My husband is getting very interested in the Welsummers now, too, which makes it a lot more interesting. How many have you got, or is that like asking a woman her age? Since I'm new to this, I don't know what's appropriate...!

So nice to find someone in California, and you aren't that far away.

I'm also in CA, near Auburn.

Oh my, you're even closer (or maybe the same distance... not sure as the crow flies maybe...)!!!! I love your area - beautiful. Road trip sometime after July 15th??? I knew there had to be some Wellie lovers in CA - it seems like in our area everyone seems to raise Bantams and Silkies (of course, I don't know many people yet in my area...).
