I lived in Jonesboro when this all happened and I knew one of the jurors personally. It was a long, grueling emotional experience to be a juror on this case. She was convinced they were guilty. I'm not saying they were....I'm just saying the jury was convinced they were at the time. I suppose only the boys and God know for sure.
The thing I don't like about this is the actions of police officers right now.
"Echols and Baldwin entered what is known as an Alford plea on three counts of first degree murder. Misskelley entered similar pleas to one count of first degree murder and two counts of second degree murder."
So basically the men plead guilty to be released from jail. Now here's the part that irks me, because the conditions of their plea they plead guilty, but it's pretty obvious they are not criminals and did it only to be released from jail. Now the police are saying they aren't going to investigate any other possible suspects because they have a guilty plea on the books. The police have to know these men aren't the murderers and the real killer could be still out there, possibly even in the same town and the same house. The stepfather seems a bit shady.

This is why they need to somehow get the blood evidence that is in custody in order to do that DNA testing. They will have to have the testing done on their own. I certainly hope they will push forward with it too.
i said from the start these kids were used as scape goats just so they could say they solved the case, im so glad they are out of jail but i wish they could have been cleared
