We have learned to enjoy the snow and sort of look forward to it. The majority of our hiking is done with snow on the ground. To me, there is nothing like getting to the top of a mountain, looking around and the only other tracks are your spouse and maybe some critters. The peace and quiet is something. I have spent over 20yrs working outside, but since I don't anymore, I enjoy the weather more.

We have lots of rain. I would rather have ice or snow. It is easier to walk on frozen mud/poo than to wade through it.

  10. We have a bit of wind and snow today. I need to make a lean-to cover for my pop hatch - it faces west and the wind from that direction is *harsh*.

Maybe I could find an old sliding glass door at the habitat store. That would make a nice lean-to.

ETA - bet I could just lean the wheel barrow up there today for a wind break. Hah, that will be easy it if works.
