The white stuff,

When I saw this thread I thought you were going to talk about the filling of a twinkie!

No cussing! Quit saying the s-word! There's no call for that sort of language!

**60 degrees in Massachusetts this week and heating oil was $3.79/gallon last month when we topped up the tank**

DH got a s***-blower this year, but you know, I really would like it to stay in the barn as much as possible. I have enough stovewood cut, the tires on the car and the truck are good enough for winter, but last year we got several storms that each dumped 1-3 feet per storm. It felt like I was never going to stop shoveling. And I broke my foot while walking the dog on the stupid ice, and can I just tell you, managing a cast and crutches on icy walkways in January in a totally not-ADA-compliant workplace is miserable.

Just enough to be decorative over the holidays, that's really all I need.

We are supposed to have snow showers the end of the week. I actually kind of welcome it, at least through the end of December.

I know my chickens are not impressed by it. The very firs night it snowed I shut the coop door not realizing I still had one out. She spend the very first really cold night out alone in the run by herself.....bad pullet mom

In two years I have never made that mistake

oh well she survived & got warm oatmeal for breakfast.

Oh please send the snow this way. Anything is better than this cruddy rain. I actually like it when it's snowing and the power goes out (except if I'm using the bator). It give us an excuse to use the woodstove to cook on.
