Crescent forgot the pine marten for a minute and turned her head to face the owl. She zoomed towards him.

Luke didn’t care if she was coming after him. He cares about his friend more. He flew as fast as he could. His wings hurt, but he didn’t care. After a few seconds, he finally reached Kiko, and tried flying away.

Kiko struggled to get one of his paws loose. If he could only get on top of Crescent he would be able to control her safely. “Luke, what in the world is going on?!?” He yelled as he pulled himself up onto her back.

Crescent tried to snap at her back but ended up completelly flipping over. She did a couple of these flips before freezing again. This time she looked on her back at the little mammal, and at the owl. Then she tucked in her head and dived to the ground, hoping for a quick escape of humiliation.

Dawn gasped, watching. "KIKO!!!" She yelled loudly. She stayed where she was though since she knew she couldn't do anything.

All these aerobatics made Kiko fall off. He landed in a small hemlock tree. “Luke, you ok?” He called, rushing over to where he and Dawn were on the ground.

“Yeah.” He said, relieved. “That was crazy!! I’ve met her before and she wasn’t like that. Well, she did say that some big scary animals messed with her a long time ago so maybe that had something to do with it… 🤔“
