"Around 1-1.5 years, I believe. Me and my family moved here a while ago and then shortly after, my family died." She said. "And I hadn't seen another Pine Marten since. At least not until I met Kiko." She looked over at Kiko and made eye contact with him. A smile came to her face and she blushed a little.
“Oh, I am Really sorry” Luke said. He didn’t know this until now, and couldn’t imagine living without his parents. “So you’re telling me you‘ve never seen a pine marten all these years?!”
“I‘ve lived here ever since I got kicked out of dad’s territory about two years ago.” Kiko said. “I like it here. This place has everything I could ever need or want.” He remarked, looking shyly over at Dawn.
“If you don’t mind Kiko, why did you get kicked out?”
Dawn continued looking at Kiko shyly. "No, I-I indeed haven't." She said.
Seeing something “interesting” was going on, Luke decided to sneak out for a bit. “Um- See you guys in a bit, I’m going to.. um- practice flying”
“Nothing personal.” “Adult male martens have to keep other males out of their territory (or else the place would be overrun with them), so when their male children reach a certain age, they go off to find a new territory for themselves.”
Dawn watched Luke. "Um, ok then. Goodbye." She said suspiciously. She looked back over at Kiko, smiling.
“Oh, ok” Luke said, understanding. “Well, like I said, I’m going to go practice my flying for a few minutes” He said, as he started to head out
