Wow - gorgeous packing job. I would be pleased to see something like that arriving at my house any time!
And to Steve - that is what we love about you - you are totally fair. I received two boxes of mashed up yolk at my house also for me to try and hatch out. It was obvious that one seller had poorly packed and the eggs showed the result. It was equally obvious that the other seller had actually packed the eggs well and the box had been damaged in transit. I cried over both boxes but I didn't blame seller #2.
I have never thought of myself as a gambing girl but buying shipped eggs is making me feel like it.
I bought again today...with huge trepidation. Hoping with all my might they make it here intact.

I bought light sussex (chortling gleefully and clapping my hands together ecstatically). That is also what I bought for the New Year's hatch and same that arrived from two different sellers as boxes of shards, yolk and white so this time...please let it happen this time!
I am hoping to also get marans, americaunas, etc. etc. but truthfully, my budget is tighter than the belt I used to wear in high school so...not likely I will be buying much more.

I wasn't exactly jumping for joy when I was handed that crushed box, inside a clear plastic bag, with yellow egg dripping from the corner of the box and smeared on the bag.

Oddly enough, it was the customer waiting behind me who said " Looks like the cold got them. " that came closest to getting an ear full.................................... but I clamped my mouth shut after saying "I doubt that the cold smashed this box, but I'll get out get out of your way in a second." I thought at the time only two or three were broken and was wondering if the insides of the others were scrambled. When I got home and started trying to lift gooey eggs out of the carton, the top half of most would either come off or collapse. I was dissappointed to say the least; but that was the worst thing that happened that day so it was actually a great day.

I thought at the time that those free eggs had taught me not to ever buy any shipped eggs...................................................... After repeated calls to a breeder of show quality Cornish in easy driving range went unanswered , I ordered two dozen Ameraucana eggs for Mahonri's Easter Hatch [ https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=447147&p=1 ].

My day just got even better!
I forgot to pay my internet service charges last month, and have been multi-tasking in an attempt to pay them by phone as I use those sevices on here. I know I owe both last month, and now this month as well, because I'm looking at the bill; but the recording kept telling me " You owe zero dollars and zero cents, to pay the full amount, press 1"

I finally got a live human on the phone; I've been credited with over three months payments because they have................ "refunded taxes wrongfully applied to your payments since your service was initiated"..................... [several years ago].
