Well I have another update, I really should have candled last night.
When I turned the eggs midnight last night (semi auto turner) I noticed a bit of a smell and thought that must be just still hanging around from the other egg bombs and the brooder in need of a bedding change. It was day 10 and I should have candled but I was tired. So I thought I'd just leave it till tonight... wrong!!!
Turned the eggs this morning thought 'Yuck, poor chickies really need their bedding changed' ran around, fed and watered everyone, changed bedding and didn't think much more off it.
Go in to turn at lunch and think 'What the heck is going on? It stinks in here!!!' and like egg... lift the lid off the 'bator and OH NO!!!
ICKY egg!! Really icky egg! I guess it was 'weeping' thought there was a lot of ick out of it. Grabbed it and raced it outside deathly afraid it would explode. Cleaned up the 'bator as best I could, put the lid on and pulled the vent plugs the let the smell out.
Hopefully not to much damage done. It didn't get on any other eggs, just the 'bator. So now I will for sure be candling tonight an pulling anything 'odd' out!
