Well I ended up with 6 chicks.

I was going to help the last egg last night but when I checked it it was wiggling and had piped internally so I left it alone, that was a mistake. Poor little thing was mispositioned, head between legs and it couldn't pip.

I will take pics of my babies and post a little later.

Can I join you?

I ordered 12 orpington eggs (6 buff and 6 buff/blue) and sadly three buff had cracked on the journey and I candled at 4 days (yesterday) and four of the remaining eggs were not looking very good. So, I just ordered another 6! Hopefully they will arrive safely.

They are going under my broody orpinton dutch bantam crosses which have never been broody before let alone raised chicks so who knows how they will do.

And then I have 6 turkey eggs arriving and my incubator just died this morning after working fine for the past month in anticipation.

I don't even know what I am going to do with them, I guess I will put them under one of my broody hens and

to everyone!

Hey Do I qualify?

My friend is stopping by to drop off a cracked egg for me to finish off for her in my bator
I haven't seen it yet but she says it's bad. around day 16.
will post pics later, but for now what is usually done to save a cracked egg???
