One thing that’s always bothered me is when they say the path is “too narrow for horses” and then the path they show is wide as heck 😂😭🤚

Season 1 Episode 5. The guy that turns into Mousesack.
They are known as "The Adonis", and are a Doppler (I say they because that's how it referred to itself, likely because of the remenants of the personalities of it's previoius victim hanging around) . Hard to pin this one down though. In the books and games, dopplers are peaceful and they're persecuted out of fear. This one is clearly a psychopath so could either be a one-off or for the show they've decided to make them more of an evil influence. They're few and far between so it's a tough call.

Thanks! This is really helpful! And interesting. I believe they made note in the show how they’re not usually like that didn’t they? I thought he said something of that effect to them.

We started watching The Witcher for the first time tonight but I've really struggled to get into it. I'm upset about the Queen's death though and so my mind is elsewhere maybe.

Is it worth sticking with and giving another chance, did it take you a couple of episodes to get interested or were you enthralled from the beginning?

All of Season 1 can be a bit confusing because of the time jumps. Especially if you don't have background with the characters from the books or the games. it gets gradually better as Geralt and Ciri's stories converge though. I would say give it at least through episode 3 before you pass judgement. It's not everyone's thing, so don't feel bad if you can't get into it.
