All of Season 1 can be a bit confusing because of the time jumps. Especially if you don't have background with the characters from the books or the games. it gets gradually better as Geralt and Ciri's stories converge though. I would say give it at least through episode 3 before you pass judgement. It's not everyone's thing, so don't feel bad if you can't get into it.
X 2!

We started watching The Witcher for the first time tonight but I've really struggled to get into it. I'm upset about the Queen's death though and so my mind is elsewhere maybe.

Is it worth sticking with and giving another chance, did it take you a couple of episodes to get interested or were you enthralled from the beginning?
I would say it’s definitely worth it!

This too, definitely not everybody’s thing, but for me I love it. Although I think 4 and especially 5 are the best parts at least in season one but yeah

Thank you and @Overo Mare and @TheDawg I shall give it a second chance because I didn't even notice it was time jumping so I definitely was not paying attention to the show at all. 🤭🤦

I will wipe the slate and watch again. It sounded like our kind or program and I know of the video game. I also like Henry Cavil (sp). I think I'll be missing out if I don't!

Glad you’re gonna give it another chance! I think you’ll really enjoy it ❤️ But it’s okay if not too

To help distinguish the jumps, at first View it like this:

Ciri's piece (now)
Geralt's piece (the past, but moving toward now)
Yen's piece (Even further in the past, leading up to now by the end of S1)

At first they're all separate stories on different timelines, but they all relate. Episode 4 brings Geralt and Queen Calanthe together in the past and you begin to really understand the timeline gap at that point. Geralt and Yen's timelines converge first (episode 5) and then run parallel for a bit, then merge to the present to line up with Ciri.

Tryig not to spoil anything here but still give an idea of what's going on in S1.

I’m so tired I could barely finish this episode lol I did though so I think I’ll just go to bed now since I can barely stay awake 😂
