Yes, Caveats:
Witcher 1 is OLD and plays like an old game.
Witcher 2 is less old and plays better than Witcher 1, and all the controls are different.
Witcher 3 is ion my top 3 games ever, and is an excellent open world rpg. Again, all the controls change.

All 3 have adult content and some cutscenes are adult, so keep that in mind. Geralt's a thirsty guy when it comes to the ladies. Everyone swears like sailors too.


I would say start with W2, then play 3 and go back for 1 if you get deep into the lore.

This is an excellent analysis! Although I saw/read somewhere that remastered versions of W1 and W2 are being plannned/made, which would be awesome! We played all the W3 expansions too… also in my and hubby’s top 3 ever!

Yeah, it's been a longstanding gripe to CDPR (game makers) about how mangled the controls are. You can remap them and that helps, but if you play them back-to-back it can be quite frustrating.
