Apparently NASA recieved panicked letters from people who thought the world was going to end. They got so many that they had to make a video about all the reasons the world wouldn't end. Silly people.

Not, most likely, due to demand for answers from 'rocket scientists' but ... they've gotta waste a little more money than they're given, so as to keep on gettin' what they've gotten: Despite bein' cut, their budget is still close to twenty billion, and their percentage of discretionary actually went up (wonder how many millions went to that video, and who's friends/family/donors got the money? ~'-)
