Kaleb watched the initiates and thought about the day he almost killed that Factionless man on his front lawn. That day was full of regret for him. Now when he tries visit his mom in Candor, she turns away scornfully. If he goes to see his brother in Abnegation, he cowers away and hides.

Celyn sat up and continued hitting the dummy, although her sword felt heavier and her swings were more clumsy now. Eventually, she recovered and was doing it like she had earlier.

Ryan felt a little sweat build up from his concentration on hitting the targets. He had improved quite a bit, and was now hitting 90% of the targets. Bull's-eyes only consisted of about 28%, though.
