Not that Wyandottes tend to lay super big eggs.... more medium to large.

That's what I thought.

It's hard to tell what you'll get with hatchery birds.
 
I might get a Wyandotte and was wondering, what is their lay rate per week

I have 2 GLW & 2 SLW all hatchery birds approx. 2 years of age. I have gotten as many as 23 eggs/week & as low as 6/week. Presently getting 18 to 20/ week. The 2 SLW are the better layers. They are also quieter, generally don't even egg song. Don't know if it's coincidence, genetics or just individuality that is the cause for the difference in the 2 colors.
 
here is my golden laced Wyandotte , not sure yet if it's pullet or roo but every one says roo, which is what I want.. any ideas? also 11 weeks old
