And here is one of my Broodies out with her chicks this morning.
Was a bit wet but they were just pleased to be out.













She has 2 Blue Laced Wyndottes, 2 Buff Laced wyndottes, 1 Gold Laced wyndottes and 2 Indian Game.

Glad you mentioned the kinds of chicks at the end.... I kept looking at them...and looking...wondering why they looked so odd for BLR Wyandotte's

Thank you, they've had fertility problems this year but a few unrelated hens will hopefully do the trick and I'll be keeping back a few of the roosters to replace there day for next year.
It's a gamble that may spoil the lacing slightly but will hopefully pay off in the second year.

It was started a long time ago...but people post.

I am SUPER BAD at guessing sex. Which is good, because that means that even though I think all 3 look male, there is a good chance that I am wrong.

The rooster was bought in with eggs, the first 24 were clear!
The second 12 we only got him, so I think his father was probably the same, I'm hoping his totally unrelated girls will put a bit more lead in the pencils of these young Roosters I can now choose from.

But only next year will tell us

Only The Indian Game Cornish that were adopted.

I'm rubbish at this and struggle enough with my own birds

But at a push they might be 3 Pullets.
