The Wyandotte Thread

So know I'm posting too much tonight, but here is the pic of the male I have previously described as pullet breeding male. What do you all think?

Notice how dark he looks and how brassy. But if you could really look at him, that brass is all lacing around the edges of almost every single feather...

I don't have any personal experience raising partridge. Is the brassy undesirable?

ps. I'm slowly building my flock of black wyandottes. I think next year I'll add buffs, also.

OOOOOOPPS Sorry About the Bad Pics, Guess Lighting wasn't all that great

I have 4 Buff Wyandotte hens & a Splash Blue Laced Red Wyandotte Roo, he isn't very cooperative when it comes to taking pictures though

. All my girls are about 7 months old and my roo is just over a year old.

I have 8 juvenile gold-laced wyandottes. It's the first time I've raised them, and even though they're approx. 10 weeks, I'm not very good at determining positively how many roos I have. But, looking at all the pics everyone has posted, I'm excited to have one. They are quite handsome!

New to trying to upload pics to BYC and having some difficulty, so when I figure it out, I'll post some pics of my babies. :>

I posted last week sometime asking for opinions on the lace versus pencil patterns on my two "SLW" chicks. I got a clearer picture yesterday so I thought I would ask again (no one responded last time). They are hatchery stock, so I don't expect the quality to be "up to par"...but an opinion on whether the darker one is a pencil or a lace would be great!

Obviously, the single combed chick in the back is my Barred Rock...
