I vote pullet.
Sorry-that's a roo! We had one just like that and gave him away...he's now enjoying life with 12RIRs.
either way I'm keeping him/her..i have another 2 wk old BLRW..I'm just hoping one is a boy and one is a girl...lol
My SLW from Foley's are due to arrive here on Thursday morning - I'm so excited, I can hardly WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!
By that size, my cockerels have twice the red already. I've never had BLR, so take it with some salt, but that's a pullet in my brooder until proven wrong.
what would a black Sumatra and GLW cross look like?
probably all black.
How long until you can start telling cockerals from pullets with GLW? I need feed and oh they have chicks? I had no idea......
Quote:About 6-8 weeks to be certain. Although some I can tell younger. And I hade one that was 8 weeks and I just couldn't be sure???? It had a very red small undeveloped comb and was feathering like a hen... but 'its' comb was cherry red. Wyandottes are harder in my oppion then staight comb breeds.
