either way I'm keeping him/her..i have another 2 wk old BLRW..I'm just hoping one is a boy and one is a girl...lol

By that size, my cockerels have twice the red already. I've never had BLR, so take it with some salt, but that's a pullet in my brooder until proven wrong.

How long until you can start telling cockerals from pullets with GLW? I need feed and oh they have chicks? I had no idea......

About 6-8 weeks to be certain. Although some I can tell younger. And I hade one that was 8 weeks and I just couldn't be sure???? It had a very red small undeveloped comb and was feathering like a hen... but 'its' comb was cherry red. Wyandottes are harder in my oppion then staight comb breeds.

Hi, everyone.

Popping in to remind everyone about the recognition awards.

We want to validate the efforts and contributions of our members who give sooo much. This community is special because of the efforts of its members, and we all want to honor that.

NOW: get to nominating, if you haven't already!

Remember, each BYC member may nominate one member each month for each of the three recognition categories: BYC Friend, BYC Educator, and BYC Spirit. That's three nominations each month, and we want to see more submissions!

Use the Nomination Submission Form to make your suggestions.

Thanks!
