The Wyandotte Thread

Mrs. Turbo :

I will be glad when hatching season is over....we are all tired! For some reason this year has been crazy, maybe because we added a new variety and a 5th child to the mix.

He is almost 10 months and does not like me to leave the room, let alone sneak to the barn or brooder room.

What a beautiful child, love those eyes.

Mrs. Turbo :

I think I have a customer backing out of the SLW chick order that ships Tuesday.....we might see some SLW chicks listed on Featherauction tomorrow.

He's too cute! I like your "Nanna Dog" watching over him too. Ours does that also.

that is our golden retriver Jerry brought home from work 4 years ago (animal shelter)... no one wanted her and they were out of room.

I brought home a new dog Saturday that has been there for 3 months. Just a mixed breed dog, but the kids love her and named her diamond. We are now up to 4 dogs so I think we are good for a while. We would take them all if we could. Here she is with the 4 youngest kids.

yes.... I won't have anymore until June 28th if you can wait that long. they got a little popular this year and I have been shipping them out. The ones growing out here are really looking good, but the black wyandottes like to find water buckets and jump in them. We have to cover everything now.

He's so cute! Makes me want another one!
Wow I don't know how you do it though! I have just 4 kids (youngest is 4) and about 55 chickens 1 cat and DHs cow, no other pets And I'm overloaded! Saturday night I cleaned out the hatcher spotless I was so proud of myself... but I left the garage/mud room door open on accident, the next morning the kids we're like 'mom there's a mouse in the house'! Arrgh! We don't like mice around here! So we tried too catch that little bugger all morning and he plum disappeared! And we missed church! So we've got traps everywhere. Anyhow its us, kids, chickens and 1 unwanted mouse and I'm tired already today!

sounds like you need to add a cat to your list of pets...

I admit that I have been falling a little behind on emails and try to catch up when I am feeding the baby. We will be looking for a 30 acre farm once Jerry retires in 2 1/2 years and I hope he will get a part time job versus a full time job so he can be home more. I want cows and a tractor. More time at home also means more chickens!!!
