Needing a little advice on who to keep for breeders with these roos.

My first SLW's are now about 14 weeks old. I don't know if they are anywhere near standard, but I think they are nice looking. I am particularly fond of my ONE pullet (out of 5 chicks). She has what is probably too much white in her, but I think she is one good looking egg maker. Here are a couple of pics of her and one or two cockerel's in the flock.

No, Rocks and many other LF breeds are required to have the yellow leg even in Black or Blue. The yellow leg is difficult in dark colored birds though. In order to maintain the yellow leg you will need to watch both skin color and underdown color. You will fond that the lighter underdown will produce better leg color, just watch that it does not bleed through.
 
I got some pictures of the girls & Brian today since they've been stuck in their coop getting some medicine.

Brian, I think he was a cull because of his spikey comb & pink legs.. I love him though
