I am going to assume you already have a hen......

We had some lovely weather this past few evenings so I grabbed some shots of the gang. Here are a few I thought I'd share.

Gorgeous chickens Golden Puppy! We still have snow here (fresh stuff from yesterday too) so my 5 week old chicks are still inside. It is supposed to warm up next week though so hopefully it keeps melting! I want to kick them out into the coop next weekend.

Here is a pic I got today of my favorite of them all....I've been calling it "Big Mama" so I'm hoping she's a SHE!! She is quite round and broad, feathered out really fast and has lots of tail feathers. So here's hoping those are all good signs of a hen! There is one GLW I am thinking is a roo and he's quite different from her and the other 2 GLW's I have.

What do you guys think? Pullet? She is the biggest one, and feathered out the fastest, I wonder if she isn't a week or two older than the others. They are supposed to be 5 weeks old now.

Very docile and curious. Love (hopefully) her!

Looks like a girl to me. My babies are not quite 3 weeks old and I am already seeing roo signs in their combs. I watched them in the brooder for almost an hour this morning and saw way more boys than i wanted to!! I will have to post pictures in a bit =)
