The Wyandotte Thread

Ok after waking up this afternoon, (graveyard shift) I went down and cleaned up after my new kids. I made sure they were ok. then I snapped these phots. Welp/Privet chicks and three barnyard mix chicks from my incubator test run.

Looove the chicks ShaggyRay! So adorable!

Looks like a girl to me. My babies are not quite 3 weeks old and I am already seeing roo signs in their combs. I watched them in the brooder for almost an hour this morning and saw way more boys than i wanted to!! I will have to post pictures in a bit =)

Thank you! I have noticed some red combs already too, well I started noticing them last week. I think I have a few more roos than I'd like too. I also really notice the ones I think are pullets have way fuller tail feathers as well. Definitely post some pics of yours when you can!!

Primalchick they look like some nice birds!
Thanks! I bought them from a breeder near me, I went to pick them up myself and got to see her hens and roosters. Gorgeous birds! I'm not sure if they are show quality or not, but they had beautiful colouring :) I'm kind of excited for them to grow up now so I can see what they look like grown LOL

Just listed Blue wyandotte eggs for sale and we will have blue peeps for local pick-up April. Other eggs, in various colors, also avaliable for sale.

New to the thread here... I've been bitten by the SLW bug like lots of folks here I'm sure.. my question is, does anyone have suggestions for breeders that are making potential EQ/BQ eggs or chicks available this year? (Non-hatchery stock).... I am on a waiting list with a breeder in OR, but does anyone have other suggestions?
