The Wyandotte Thread

My Wyandottes are really friendly, the pullets have become my pets :) I have no problems handling them, they are really curious and like people. They are pretty laid back, even the roos.

Ok thankyou!

Yes we did try some hatchery wyandottes.... "crap shot" is right lol! They were really spastic. The ones I'm looking at are from Foley lines.... apparently that is good? Like I said, newbie to Wyandottes! These are heritage birds. I attached a pic of one of her birds..... what do you think?

Sweet birds. The blue laced red pictured is a new variety, but wyandottes themselves are an older breed. I've had their blr. You'll enjoy them.

Hey guys!

I just wanted to make my mark on this thread! I got SLW and GLW from Mt Healthy Hatchery, and I have to say that their coloring is surprisingly good (not SQ of course, but good for HQ)! Here are some pics! (that is them as babies in my avatar, BTW)

This one decided to go broody under the shed! LOL, I thought that she had been taken by an animal, but then I found her about a week and a half later! LOL

And some more that I took when they were a little younger...

mychookschick > Pretty girls! I love GLW's :) I have 2 and I think they are so pretty. Yours do have very nice lacing, especially for HQ!

Aww PeakyBeaky...you are making me want more babies....LOL Toooo cute!!!
