Hi everyone, out of my 4 Wyandotte Hen's one in particular has a better lacing, and body structure and I was wondering what your thoughts were about her? She is about 5 months old.

I am not an expert on the breed standard, but I know some of you are and would appreciate some feedback! I've had several people say I should enter her into the county fair's poultry show. (Not a national competition mind you

I'm not an expert by any means (my one hatchery SLW hen is pretty ugly by breed standard), but I'd say it depends on whether or not your county fair judges by the standard. Her lacing is not bad (at least I don't think it is, certainly better than mine), but her comb is incorrect. A rose comb should be flatter, with less bumps. Hers looks like some sort of combination between a rose comb and some other type (maybe a pea comb? it looks kind of like the pea combs on my Ameraucana/EE's but less defined).

I have some of the birds before we took them to the fair. The cages make it so hard to take pictures of the birds. He's our Blue rooster that won his class.

Sleepy after a long day of showing-he got a second.

Here is our Partridge rooster-too bad his tail was still coming in.

Is she a black bantam? She looks like she has potential-do you have more pictures of her-closer-up shots?
Yes shes a black bantam. Did you click on the pics that makes them a little larger. Its the only two i took this evening but can take more. What areas would i need to focus in on?
