The Wyandotte Thread

She has a nice shape. Her beak looks a little long to me, but not horrible. Legs could be more yellow, but again, not a huge point. I'd certainly give her a try at breeding and see what you end up with, esp. if your rooster has the qualities she lacks.

The funny thing is the man that sold her to me insisted that she was a Cochin. I didn't argue, lol

Hey there, I was wondering when my Columbian (that's what I was told she was) would get her comb? I understand they're slow to mature, does the development of a comb have much play in when she'll start to lay? I got her in the beginning of April 2012. Thanx in advance for any feedback.

Do I have Columbian Wyandottes? I have six chicks and these two do not look like the others, which are EEs. They have been the slowest to get feathers also. These pics were ages 2-3weeks. They are 4 weeks now. They stick together and do a lot of chest bumping and head bobbing. Eloise tweeked her leg the other day and Willow one stayed with her while she just rested, pretty cute.

Thanks for any feedback!

They look a lot like my CW did when she/he was brand new.......I got her/him in April, and the last pic is from the beginning of August. Pretty babies you've got there~!~ Please share some more Pix as they've matured, I'd Love to see them!?!?

Anyone have Chocolate Wyandotte bantams? I had a person call me today wanting to know if I was interested in a pair of these,he said they were show quality.Don't know much about them, how's there temperament, are they accepted in the APA? Don't know how much he wants for them or age or where they came from,I know he said he just got them from someone but they don't fit in with his standard size chickens. How much would a pair of these be worth? Are they worth having.Mike
