The Wyandotte Thread

Quote: Thank you very much! I just love him, hehad a little bit of an odd personality to start with but since I started feeding FF he's become a lot more frinedly, I thin because he watches me prepare it for them every morning and gets to eat off the spoon, lol. He's a big boy, especially compared to the cockerals hatched from my own Wyandottes(this boy came from Peaky).

A couple of the blue girls I have for him have darker legs also but most of my others have very nice-colored legs, like the white tailed Buff pullet I posted on the previous page.

I just got my first wyandotte about a week ago. I'm really hoping she's show quality. It's probably too early to know anything but what should I be looking for?

all I see is a face to judge..and it looks like hatchery...I am sure you will love your bird..it looks like your bird loves you and that is all that matters. If you have kids..do 4H.

Thanks guys. I'm a bit bummed that she isn't great quality. I got her from a local breeder that answered a FB post of mine looking for a good quality slw. But she does have a beautiful personality :) even sits on my shoulder :)
I don't have kids but what does 4H refer to?
