Good Job! I looked at your Silver Laced Wyandotte pictures because your birds look great and noticed that you had a Golden Laced Wyandotte. Have you ever crossed Silver Laced Wyandotte to Golden Laced? If so could you post some pictures of them?

Thank you!
I have never crossed them before. Out of all the golds I had only the rooster was good and he got eaten :/.the only one left is a pint sized hen that is far from a good bird. It's sad golden laced have become scares now a days.

Can you post a picture of the comb spike? Not sure I know what that looks like.... guessing it is like a side sprig.

Here is the sprigs on her. They are so slight I think I will still use her because beside that she is a nice bird. I had a hen with a very bad inverted comb but I sold her to an educational poultry exhibitor. I talked to a few people and they agreed it wasn't bad and I would just need to pair her with a male with a nice comb and watch her off spring.

I would have never noticed if you haden't said

Is a crooked comb point a DQ or fault?

Me neither when the judge told me he had to take the bird out and put the point under his finger so you could see it

. He counted it as a disqualification. I have shown her before and it was over looked. I don't think the other judges saw it. I think the only reason he saw it is because he raised silver laced wyandottes and was very critical of them when judging. He disqualified a nice cockerel for a pin feather in between his toe. Thankfully I plucked mine the night before but he missed one.

Clearly I am BLIND... I don't see a DQ in that comb.... I thought rose combs were supposed to be bumpy.... with little spikes.
