We lost 9 laying hens to a mother fox last spring we put a radio (the human voices are supposed to keep them away) in the barn and set alarms at night it scared her off and we are hoping she won't be back this year! Sorry for your loss!Thank you! It definitely was an honor for him to place my birds. I feel like I am becoming recognized a bit more especially by the other breeders even though I am young. I always meet the nicest people at shows. Can't wait to go to the next show!
We have a great pyeranees but she was in side eating at the time of the attack. My good pullets weren't eaten (thank god) but I'm still sad I lost the others. My poor dad lost his favorite partridge cochin hen and it was on his birthday too. Thankfully he still has his partridge cochin rooster. I think the fox that came through is the new mate of the female that hangs around. I think she just had kits or is about to and that's why the male we saw was so bold. We haven't had a fox attack in 3 years until yesterday. Hopefully this is that last!
