The Wyandotte Thread

Thanks that's good to hear I Was wondering because with some of the F1 crosses of different breeds I noticed that only some traits get passed on and some times only certain traits go to one gender and not the other.

I had partridge cochin and columbian wyandotte mixes and there was a lot of different colors and markings half had straight combs the other had pea combs all had some sort of feathering on their feet. The males were mostly white and black and females were mostly orangish color or gray.

Quote: Thanks for the clarification......

Porcelain in the US is Lavender and MF pattern.... Like your d'Uccles but lavender. I am not 100% on the terms but we don't really have a different term for Mille Fleur with and without Mahogany genes. Like MF Leghorns have the Mahogany gene but MF d'Uccles don't seem to . We have Jubilee Orps and they are really a MF with the Mahogany gene. I can't think of anything else right off.

SO back to my original thought..... Jubilee crossed with some Wyandottes.... I have LOTS of SLW pullets maybe I will try them first and see what I get.
