Columbian Wyadonette chick... I have a golden laced wyadonette also but right now can't tell her apart from my speckled Sussex and Barnevelder

Just look at the combs of your speckled Sussex, Barnevelder, and gold laced wyandotte. the wyandotte has a rose comb and the others have straight combs.

If you look really close you should be able to see a difference, but the sussex comb doesn't really become obvious till they are 5-6 weeks.

The eldest chicks are a little over a month now.

Can you explain the Red Porcelain verses Porcelain in the UK? Now I am confused..... I have seen this color called porcelain several times, even in my genetics books..... you are in the UK right?

BLRW's, anyone care to guess what color combos I got from these? I think the 2 lighter ones (one is hiding under brooder) will be splash based on greyish patch on top of the head, but I am by no means an expert in identifying them. Just hatched today

I live in Belgium.
The different terms for colors are very confusing.
I knew that the English and the Belgian terms were very different but I didn't knew that there was even a difference between the US and the UK when talking about colors.
Maybe this can help you?

Another thing that may help is the Wyandotte chicks legs are more pinkish for the first week, then turn yellow and it's the opposite for sussex.
