Is it typical to get a rooster with only one waddle??? We had a rooster for a long time that was GLW and he only had half a waddle. However he did produce us some good laying hens. I asked someone that was raising them, and they told me they get one out of every 20 like that. Anyone else having that issue? Or is it just poor quality stock from around our area?

I would think the first cross would be with a Jubilee Orp..... not sure what the other birds should be.... just a black maybe????? @ki4got can maybe help us out. I can start that ball rolling...... if I knew what with. SLW? or White or Black are the other options I have.

Looks like with a Jubilee Roo x SLW hen and keep only the pullets. But not sure what after that. I think back to the jubilee roo to get some roos then breed for yellow legs and rose combs.

I have never had a roo with one waddle in any breed.
