Ok I can't help myself, here are some more pictures.
Last year at the York show the great folks from MyPetChicken were there taking photos. They were nice enough to take a few of Brody's MultiChampion Bantam hen Bisquit.
She was supposed to be retired at the end of last year...but she looked so good, we said one more time. So off she went to the shows in 09. She has won tons of BOB, BV, & CH RCCL. So after the last show in Nov we have officially retired her (again) at 3 yrs old. She is the one who really started the big winnings for us in wyandottes, so she is very special around here.
The weather was crazy this fall, and she began her molt in early Dec. Last week we had 21 inches of snow & really cold nights. Sat afternoon, I found her laying in her cage, eyes closed,& very cold. We rushed her into the house, started the Hair dryer, warm sugar water and poultry boost. She was barely alive. So after wrapping her in a towel & holding her half the night, we put her, still wrapped, in the warm bathroom ( where all the brooders are) and prayed. The next morning we found her happily visiting the chicks. Needless to say we now have a spoiled little hen living in the sunroom. She watches TV, eats pizza & plays XBOX. She will jump up & perch on the side of the tote & talk to you, that is how I know she is hungry. So once she is feed & watered she happily snuggles down in her 6 inches of shavings for the night. She really is our Favorite Wyandotte!
