@keka6 I am still sure the other bird is a roo too.... sorry. Pullets don't have ANY color at that age. They don't get pink till they are near point of lay.... some might show color at 3-4 months but under 12 weeks it is a roo. Coloring and lacing is not great so you can't go by that.


@Junibutt The chicken calculator will show the genetics. You need to pick the image of the Blue Laced Red WYANDOTTE. It is on the calculator. If you play with it and breed a BLRW x BLRW it will show the results you can then pick the splash from the options and see those genetics too.

Thanks, so Splash x Splash does turn out to be Splash, however someone mentioned her that the red will start washing out after a few times.

BTW if you remember the Bantam Chocolate Wyandotte Chicks I had 4 weeks ago, where one was very dark and others were a little lighter at birth, I had to give them away, but I am going to get some pictures of them tomorrow to see whether the darker one is turning out to be a cockerel or has extra chocolate gene.

We just saw 2 people who have 'wyandottes' laying olive eggs. I don't think you can say much of anything regarding chickens as 100%.

I know they're not. And I know you do. I just don't agree with 100% anything when it comes to chickens. I know someone, for example, who used a roo as a broody.

#2 is a pullet in my opinion. Laced wyandotte males only have lacing on their breast lower body parts. Females have lacing all over.
