The Wyandotte Thread

I also saw this gorgeous, blue laced silver Wyandotte pic in one of the threads but have not found anyone in USA that is breeding them. I would love to get hold of some eggs if anyone has one.

DMRippy breeds them. Also you can breed them yourself. A slw roo over a splash blrw pullet. You'll get some leakage but you just continue breeding the blue laced silver with leakage back to the dad until you get 2 blue laced silvers of different generations and breed them together. Then you can just breed tge splash laced silver baci to the slw roo to get 100% blue laced silvers.

I would not breed blue to blue in this case..... I would just keep breeding them with SLW and you will get 50/50 at hatch.  If you breed blue to blue you would get splash and I don't think splash in this case would look good.....

I don't think it would look good either. But it would allow for a 100% blue hatch rate if someone was wanting them to sell.

Love my GLW Chick they are so pretty getting bigger each day:D

Hello Wyandotte people! The Wyandottes are such beautiful birds. I have two in my flock of 19 and, shh don't tell the other birds, lol, they're two of the prettiest. My Marans boys are looking pretty nice, too, though, so they have a bit of competition. I posted my BLR and GL on the "What breed or gender" board to see if anyone had an idea of their sex, but haven't gotten any help. So I figured I'd see if anyone on this board with Wyandotte experience could help. If anyone wanted to pop over to the breed/gender board and check out their pics that would be awesome! Or on my profile. Thanks in advance! :D
