here is my newest addition Goldy. She is 4 days old. She is currently bedding with two EE pullets . I have 3 RIR , 1 rocks who hangs with another EE and 2 EE game mix. 1 being a rooster. A very sweet Rooster ! The flock so far works well together.
Out of all the pullets I have had Goldy seems like she doesn't like to be snuggled as much. Is this normal for this breed? Of course I will love on her every day:) I'm curious if GLW have a tendency to go broody ? If you have any stories please share. Thanks in advance .

All the pictures of every ones beautiful birds are wonderful!

Thank you, she's definitely a spunky pullet. I suppose over the next few days she may get use to snuggles. I love the colors of all the wyandottes! Wish I could have more! I'm at my limit for now.) hope to maybe have one of my girls go broody and do a mix of eggs.

Slow feathering can be as a result of it being to hot in the brooder or a sex thing. In my experience with Wyandotte , its usually the roos that are slow to ' feather
In '.

Thanks for the feedback. I have had Wyandotte's in the past, including cockerels, and they have never feathered in like this. She is being raised by a hen, so no brooder. I just hope that is nothing genetic that could lead to a negative outcome. She's so sweet.

Quote: Higher the quality of the bird the slower the feathering. My BR for example can be bare at 3 months old but will have AWESOME barring. Same with Laced birds. My Foley birds are pretty slow feathering especially the roos. Slow feathering and quality do not always go hand in hand.
