The one I have is Making New Colours: The Simple Way to Create New Colours and Patterns of Poultry without any Jargon, its small but full of good info.
Flying monkey. Thanks. I just emailed him for a copy! Keri, if you find anyone willing to ship eggs to Canada, I'd love to know. Good luck finding some BLRs, they are sweet birds.
If you email him he will tell you where to get it.I got mine from ebay then printed it out. You can find the email on feathersite on the wyandotte page. Nice looking columbian roo, dont see too many of them anymore.
This is a fun thread!
I'm just getting back into chickens after years of being poultry-less. I got my last stock from McGinney and Govero, in a hatchery choice of 100 chicks. I absolutely loved my beautiful Cochins, Sumatras, White-faced Black Spanish, Polish.. etc... I have discovered that they have gone out of business, which I'm sorry to hear. I would have been happy buying all of my chicks from them.
I didn't have any Wyandottes and honestly as I had been researching which breeds I'm going to start with this year I wasn't even considering them. I bought the Storey's Illustrated Guide To Poultry Breeds, though, and fell head over heels for the blue-laced red Wyandotte hen. I really need to have some of these!
I love everyone's pictures. Some really gorgeous birds here!
